A high quality cellulose acetate that is not brittle and chippy like acrylic. Machined (milled) on each surface and double sided so it conveys its beauty equally from either side and throughout. Works with conventional tools and takes a high polish with a 1725 RPM buffing wheel. This is the good stuff. Not the cheap flimsy faux tortoise seen commonly. -
